Some reasons for leaving on time get automatic respect. Others get a raised eyebrow. If your going to a golf tournament, nobody asks twice. If it's a class, a hobby, a standing dinner with a friend, or just an evening to yourself, you may find yourself explaining, justifying, or quietly giving it up instead. Sarah Bratko has spent her career shaping policy at the highest levels of a national association, and she's joining us to unpack why some claims on our time get treated as more legitimate than others, and what it looks like to protect your time without needing a reason someone else has to approve of. Useful whether you've felt this pattern yourself or lead a team where it might be happening without you noticing. Come with your lunch. Leave with language for either seat at the table.
