Going into business with someone you already know, working alongside a friend, or watching a colleague become your boss, all sound simpler than the stranger version. They aren't always. Stephanie Gonzalez and Crystal D. Peralta were friends first, then built GP Law together as co-founders, and they're joining us to unpack the full range of what happens when relationships and hierarchy collide: splitting decisions with no org chart to hide behind, staying real work partners without losing the friendship, navigating it when a friend becomes your boss or you become theirs, and knowing which conversation you're actually having when things get tense, the business one or the personal one. Useful whether you're building something with a friend, working alongside one day to day, or adjusting to a new reporting line with someone you used to call a peer.
