We are an independent insurance agency seeking an experienced, licensed account manager to join our Commercial Lines Team.  Candidate must have 3 years minimum experience writing commercial lines insurance and a P&C license.  Pay is commensurate with experience.  

An ideal candidate would be licensed and experienced in both Commercial and Personal Lines.  Must have knowledge of and experience using AMS 360 software, be a team player, have a professional appearance, professional communication skills, and provide excellent customer service. An ideal candidate must be a person with high energy and great interpersonal skills, who is detail-oriented with a positive attitude, and who can respond competently and completely to a wide array of concerns and questions a client may have. Also, the candidate must have the ability to think analytically, display discernment, multi-task, and problem-solve.

The Commercial Lines Account Manager will process applications for, changes to, reinstatement of, and cancellation of insurance policies.  This includes reviewing insurance applications to ensure that all questions have been answered, compiling data on insurance policy changes, changing policy records to conform to the insured party’s specifications, compiling data to determine and verifying the accuracy of insurance company records.

Typical duties include:

-Servicing multiple commercial accounts simultaneously

-Client interaction, take calls to provide customer service and obtain information on claims

-Process, prepare and submit business or applications for coverage to insurance carriers

-Process and record new insurance policies and claims

-Correspond with insured or agent to obtain information or inform them of account status or changes

-Organize and work with detailed office records, maintaining files for each policy holder, including policies that are to be reinstated, canceled, or removed

-Review and verify data, such as age, name, address, and coverages and forms, insurance applications, and policies

-Collect initial premiums and issue receipts

-Modify, update, and process existing policies and claims to reflect any change in amount of coverage, or type of insurance

-Enter data into computer for use in preparing documents and adjusting accounts

-Notify insurance agent and accounting department of policy cancellation

Required Special Skills: 

-HS diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred

-3 years minimum experience in commercial insurance

-Property and Casualty license

-Knowledge of AMS 360 software

-Team player

-Professional appearance and strong communication skills

-Provide excellent customer service
