In keeping with tradition, the Chamber recognizes two individuals annually at this event.

The Barbara C. Burlingame Distinguished Public Service Award was established in 2003 to honor State Representative Burlingame, a former Chamber Vice President. It recognizes a Rhode Island elected official who has made outstanding contributions to the business community and individuals who exhibit the highest excellence, dedication, and accomplishment in public service. 

The Ben G. Mondor Award was established to honor a Chamber member exhibiting the same philanthropic spirit as Ben. Mondor, the owner of the Pawtucket Red Sox, positively affected many lives in many different ways. In addition to being a successful businessperson, Ben epitomized the phrase “When a business does well, business does good.”
